The College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is seeking a board eligible or board certified Psychiatrist with interest in providing inpatient and psychiatric emergency services, to join our collaborative and growing department of 125-full time faculty members. Inpatient units are located in a dedicated facility with access to the main University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Attending psychiatrists have the opportunity to collaborate a range of professionals including psychiatric nursing, occupational therapy, pharmacy and social work. Our Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES) provide high quality urgent care to patients from throughout Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Indiana. Psychiatric emergency care in PES is managed by psychiatry with access to the medical emergency room as needed. The Department is focused on providing the highest quality of clinical care, while educating medical students and psychiatry residents. Successful applicants will join a faculty with strong academic credentials, as well as recognition from the Best Doctors in America and Top Doctors in Cincinnati. Responsibilities will include direct patient care; and teaching medical students, residents and fellows. Interested faculty are encouraged to purse relevant areas of research interest. The rank of the appointment is open and will be commensurate with the experience and professional accomplishments of the selected applicants.
