Ohio has highest number of synthetic opioid deaths in nation

In 2014, there were 590 deaths in Ohio attributed to a synthetic opioid overdose (not including Methadone, but including drugs like fentanyl and tramadol), which is the highest number in the nation. This interactive mapping tool from Kaiser Family Foundation allows users to view opioid overdose death data by type of opioid geographically. These data are useful for better understanding the drivers of the opioid epidemic in Ohio and around the nation.
