Ohio's Behavioral Health Redesign - disappointment expressed at delay by actions of the Ohio Council

After more than two years of development and extensive stakeholder input, the Ohio Departments of Medicaid and Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) are ready to implement Behavioral Health Redesign. However, a recent move by the Ohio Council for Behavioral Health & Family Services Providers has stalled the process delaying the July 1 implementation date. Many providers and stakeholders favored a July 1 implementation date, and have expressed disappointment and negative business impacts from the delay.
