ASAM 2000 waiver training available in Columbus on June 12, 2 - 6 p.m.

With the opioid crisis severely affecting all areas of our state, it is crucial for Ohio to have more physicians who are able to provide buprenorphine treatment for opioid use disorders. This four-hour workshop, combined with the four-hour on-line training will prepare physicians to apply for the waiver in order to prescribe.

This course will be taking place during Ohio’s 2017 Opiate Conference: Bridges to Recovery on June 12th and June 13th. While OPPA members are encouraged to attend this excellent two-day conference, there is an opportunity to attend only the four-hour ASAM training, which will be held on Tues., June 12 from 2 - 6 p.m. at a cost of $150.

Additionally, please note that The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services has agreed to support a reimbursement of the registration fee for eligible attendees who are able to:

  1. Provide documentation that they have received a DEA Waiver to prescribe Buprenorphine products.
  2. Indicate a willingness to prescribe MAT in their practice setting.
