"Consider Psychiatry" campaign for medical students
One of the top priorities of the Ohio Psychiatric Physicians Foundation (OPPF) is it's Consider Psychiatry Campaign which is designed to provide medical students with opportunities to engage with practicing psychiatrists in hopes that they will consider choosing psychiatry as their medical specialty in residency.
By sponsoring medical students to attend the OPPA Annual Psychiatric Update, students gain out-of-classroom exposure into the specialty and have an opportunity to interact with and be mentored by current practicing psychiatrists. OPPA’s 2017 Psychiatric Update marked the fifth year of the initiative, with a record number of 51 medical students being able to attend the meeting.
