APA announces new mental health registry, PsychPRO
The American Psychiatric Association announced recently the launch of its Psychiatric Patient Registry Online (PsychPRO), a national mental health registry that will help psychiatrists deliver high-quality care and meet new MACRA quality-reporting requirements by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. PsychPRO will spur future research and assist in the development of better ways to treat and prevent psychiatric illnesses.
APA also announced that Sheppard Pratt Health System in Baltimore, the largest private, nonprofit provider of mental health and substance use services in the United States, has become the first major health system to join PsychPRO.
