African american and hispanic children less likely to receive mental health treatment

A recently published study reveals that African American and Hispanic children are less likely to seek and receive mental health services. A number of factors contribute to the treatment disparity, including the stigma surrounding mental health, as well as a lack of accessibility to mental health professionals in communities with large minority populations.
