CMS issues guidance for states on value based purchasing
Today, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released guidance to states regarding participation in value based purchasing (VBP) arrangements in Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. The guidance encourages states to participate in such arrangements as a means to address, as well as offset, higher cost medications.
